Hi! I’m Gemma and I’ve owned The Jolly Vintner since 2016. I have over 15 years’ trade experience, living in Italy, France and the Maldives working with wine and absorbing wine culture.
I’m not just here to tell you about all the wines I love and answer your questions, I’m also here to pour you a glass and help you find the perfect pairing.
Whether you’re after a good old fashioned ‘quaffer’ or something rather special we’ve curated a selection of quality wines to be shared and enjoyed. Not forgetting our collection of local beers, ciders and spirits if you’re not so grape inclined.

Every week we select at least four wines from around the world for you to taste and enjoy by the glass.

Bottega Vinai Nosiola
Apple and pear notes, fresh yet textured and a slightly nutty finish.
Upper Reaches Monowai Chardonnay
Plush and full bodied Chardonnay pairing focussed acidity with a long, creamy and textured finish.
Senorio De Sarris Crianza
Chunky Cab Sav based blend from Navarra – spicy black fruit and toasty oak.
Palo Santo Malbec
Mountain purity, depth of colour, damson fruit, structure and finesse.
You are also welcome to select any bottle from the shop to drink in with a £10 corkage fee.
